Crafted as a long-term family home with the future flexibility to develop the rear parcel of land, this beachfront residence responds directly to its elongated site and sweeping Port Phillip Bay outlook. The brief centred on maximising natural light, embracing indoor/outdoor living, and ensuring protection from the coastal elements, all while creating a contemporary home that feels calm, spacious, and connected to its setting.

A sculptural, curved, rammed-earth wall leads from the exterior into the heart of the home, grounding the design in natural materiality and offering a warm, textural counterpoint to the surrounding landscape.

The reverse-living layout elevates daily life to the first floor, where an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space spills onto a bay-facing balcony and an internal sheltered deck, creating multiple zones for entertaining and enjoyment. The master suite, complete with walk-in robe and ensuite, also occupies this level to take advantage of the views.

Below, two bedrooms, a family room with cellar and kitchenette, a workshop, and a lift ensure the home is both flexible and highly functional. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms plus powder, and two living spaces, the design delivers a refined yet relaxed coastal residence, crafted to evolve with the family while celebrating its remarkable beachfront position.
