Beach Road, Beaumaris

Positioned along Beach Road in Beaumaris, overlooking the Ricketts Point Marine Sanctuary, this is a contemporary coastal home of enduring quality. Its design responds directly to the site, capturing expansive views across Port Phillip Bay while remaining grounded in its setting.

A robust and considered material palette defines the exterior. Extensive feature brickwork is paired with aluminium cladding and smooth cement render, forming a facade that is both expressive and resilient in a demanding coastal environment. The composition is confident, with materials chosen for their inherent durability and ability to endure while maintaining their architectural integrity.

The home unfolds across two levels, carefully planned to maximise outlook and natural light. A sculptural helical staircase beneath a circular skylight anchors the floorplan, introducing softness and guiding movement between levels.

The upper floor is dedicated to primary living, where kitchen, dining and living spaces extend seamlessly to outdoor decks overlooking the Bay. Designed for both everyday living and larger gatherings, these spaces balance openness with a considered sense of scale, maintaining a constant visual connection to the water.

Defined by clarity of design, material integrity and permanence, this residence establishes a new benchmark for contemporary coastal living.
