A home shaped by sand and sea, wrapped in a timber veil.
On Edithvale’s beachfront, Gracie marks the first collaboration between Lowe Design & Build and Tony Vella of Rachcoff Vella Architecture. Conceived as a freestanding, sculpted form that is both sleek and grounded, the residence draws on natural materials and precise proportions to create an enduring coastal home.
Defined by refined craftsmanship and a restrained architectural language, Gracie responds sensitively to its site, climate, and lifestyle. Expanses of glazing frame dune, sky, and sea, while deep eaves and operable screens create layered thresholds between indoors and out. Timber battens wrap the cantilevered form, carrying the patina of weathered driftwood and recalling the worn beauty of the shoreline.
Tucked quietly within the dunes yet opening generously to sand and sea, the home offers a calm sanctuary of texture and tone. With clarity of form and a sense of lightness, Gracie feels both grounded and ethereal, a home that belongs wholly to its place.
Gracie is currently advancing through design and detailed documentation, with construction anticipated to commence in late 2026.
